For generations, beef tallow was used in skincare long before petroleum-derived ingredients became common. We chose cosmetic-grade, grass-fed beef tallow because it consistently delivered the texture, comfort, and long-lasting hydration we were looking for.

Does FAT LIP smell or taste like beef?
No. We use cosmetic-grade beef tallow that's refined specifically for skincare. It has no beef smell or flavor, allowing the clean mint blend to be the only thing you'll notice.
Is beef tallow greasy?
Not at all. We spent months refining the formula to create a lip balm that feels buttery instead of oily, protective instead of waxy, and deeply moisturizing without feeling heavy or shiny.
Why not petroleum?
Many conventional lip balms rely on petroleum-derived ingredients. We simply chose a different approach by building our formula around thoughtfully selected natural ingredients while keeping the ingredient list intentionally simple.
